In business, Roy has unrivalled strengths in marketing and identifying market opportunities, while servicing and building business with existing clients.

Roy has served on several other boards such as Ngāi Tahu Finance, Canterbury Maori Business Network, Education Christchurch.

Roy is very passionate about runanga and marae development and is currently involved with Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke in Rāpaki, Banks Peninsula

Daniel's background consists of working as a counsellor, social worker and group facilitator in both mainstream and Kaupapa Maori services (ie. CPS, MOJ, CDHB, Te Puna Oranga & the STOP Trust).

Daniel has worked with Purapura Whetu as a Matanga Maori as a part of the Waharoa Team. And has a collective 20 years of experience.

Daniel is also an Apotoro Wairua (Spiritual Apostle) under the Ratana Church.

Phil is a founding member of the Positive Directions Trust, working in the general management position since 1996.

Phil’s strengths include organisation and contract management, project management, HR management, fund raising, social service programming, business advisory, social/community advocacy and knowledge of non-profit organisational legislation and guidelines.

He has 7 years’ involvement in the development and delivery of careers training workshops and employment advice and consultancy, 5 years’ background in youth work and alternative education and 25 years property development experience.

Phil has a management degree and is currently holding a dual management whānau ora navigator position with PDT.

Adele is one of the most experienced and well respected whanau ora navigators in Te Waipounamu and has been working with PDT since 1997.

Adele has a background in education programme creation based around a broad range of delivery models, resource building, learning moderation/assessment, education, community mapping, networking, and social connectivity.

Adele specialises in the identification of need, design, construction and delivery of programmes, workshops, and wānanga, while using multi-disciplinary delivery methods, qualitative methods including hui, interviews, quantitative methods such as questionnaires, stakeholder (whānau, school, community, etc) input and, essential whānau involvement, encompassing the whānau ora approach to service delivery.

Being involved in Te Ao Māori, and working within the community for two decades, has allowed Adele to establish a good understanding of both cultures, perspectives, and unique needs faced.
